Whether involved at the trial court level or retained solely for the purposes of appeal, appellate attorneys focus on analyzing the risk-reward ratio with respect to any appeal. We address the likelihood of success on appeal, the costs of pursuing or responding to an appeal, and the potential ramifications of an appeal. These considerations include the cost of a new trial upon reversal, or the impact of a published decision which could have adverse effects on an industry-wide basis.

Each of these considerations is made with an eye towards advising our clients as to whether an appeal makes both good legal sense and good business sense.
